Energy Jobline ZR in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to lead a manufacturing operation. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance, while shaping a high-performing, cross-functional team across Production, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, Engineering, and HR.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in manufacturing leadership, strong Lean, ERP/WMS/MES experience, and a track record of continuous improvement in multi-site settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 8–10 years of progressive leadership in manufacturing with P&L and budget responsibility.
• Experience leading a manufacturing operation across multiple functions (production, maintenance, quality, logistics, engineering, HR).
• Proven track record of Lean, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations with focus on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
• Strengthen production leadership and staffing on the manufacturing floor.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity.
• Lead and develop a cross-functional team across Production, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, Engineering, and HR.
• Align plant priorities with HQ and U.S. leadership.
• Establish and monitor operational metrics; address performance gaps with corrective actions.
• Manage plant budget and lead capital expenditure projects (equipment, automation, layout, facilities).
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Support workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
• Build processes and capabilities to sustain long-term growth.
