Job summary

gpac is seeking a Plant Manager to lead a long-standing steel manufacturing facility in the United States. The role focuses on safety, production, quality, and cost control while driving continuous improvement and development of the production team.

The candidate will balance production demands with safety and quality standards, directing lean initiatives and staffing, budgeting, and cross-department collaboration to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience and supervisory responsibility.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality, cost control, and operational improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall plant operations with responsibility for safety, production, quality, people, cost, and performance.
• Develop and execute production plans that meet customer requirements and delivery expectations.
• Drive productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, leads, and production teams.
• Monitor production and cost metrics and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Maintain strong safety and quality standards throughout the facility.
• Partner with purchasing, logistics, quality, and other departments to support plant objectives.
• Manage staffing, resources, equipment, and departmental budgets.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience


• 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment


• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles


• Strong understanding of production processes, quality, cost control, and operational improvement


• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
