Job Title: Plant Manager

Pay Range: $141,450 - $188,600 per year

The primary objectives of this position are to provide overall direction for the Livingston Plant, including production, distribution, warehousing, sanitation, and maintenance functions. The role involves frequent contact with various departments and external agencies such as Live Production, Quality Control, Technical Services, Human Resources, Accounting, Commodities, Legal, USDA, industry associations, local government agencies, and selected customers.

Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Promote, enable, facilitate, and drive team member safety.
  • Manage responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Maintain a harassment-free work environment by demonstrating knowledge of EEO policies.
  • Maintain a reliable workforce and positive team member relations.
  • Build management depth to support existing business and growth.
  • Foster an environment of engagement where all team members feel respected, valued, and informed.
Production Responsibilities:
  • Develop and monitor short-term and long-term goals for production, focusing on cost and quality systems to ensure profitability.
  • Lead personnel and systems development to position the manufacturing operation as an industry leader in cost and quality.
  • Ensure safety programs are aligned with company goals and values.
Technical and Engineering Responsibilities:
  • Assist in product development, quality assurance, engineering systems, and equipment to support profitability and growth.
  • Develop new products and processes in collaboration with Marketing and USDA compliance with SSOP and HACCP programs.
  • Ensure quality programs and technical support to protect existing businesses.
  • Support engineering needs for expansion and new methods.
Planning Responsibilities:
  • Participate in total planning processes, including capital requirements, budgeting, and manpower development for future growth.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business Administration or related fields.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible management experience in the food processing industry, preferably in poultry.
  • Strong financial skills, including budgeting, staffing, and cost analysis.
  • Proven leadership abilities and drive.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software.
