Job summary

Optima Organizational Solutions is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager in Redmond, Oregon, responsible for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development in a high‑mix manufacturing environment for engineered HVAC solutions.

You will lead a senior operations team, drive strategic and daily operations, and coordinate across fabrication, coating, assembly, and testing to deliver on customer commitments while pursuing continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• At least 5 years leading a significant manufacturing operation (plant, BU, or value stream).
• Experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, or engineered products is highly desirable.
• ERP/MRP experience and data-driven manufacturing management.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, standard work, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the Redmond manufacturing operation.
• Translate business objectives and customer requirements into clear operational priorities.
• Develop and execute annual operating plan with staffing, capital, and productivity targets.
• Establish a high-performance safety culture and drive accountability.
• Lead daily manufacturing activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Finance to optimize performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction efforts.
• Lead the governance of new product introductions and transitions from engineering to production.
