Plant Manager – Greenfield Operation

Industry: Automotive – Metal Fasteners Manufacturing

Location: Macomb, MI

Will work Onsite daily - will consider only local candidates

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a greenfield manufacturing plant for a global fastener supplier.
• Manage and optimize all production activities including cold heading and threading processes.
• Lead hiring, training, and development of plant personnel.
• Implement best practices for equipment operation, preventative maintenance, and process efficiency.
• Ensure safety, quality, and production standards are consistently met.
• Collaborate with global leadership and cross-functional teams on plant strategy and reporting.
• Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in metal fastener manufacturing.
• Deep working knowledge of cold heading and thread rolling operations.
• Proven experience operating and maintaining cold headers and threaders.
• Strong leadership background in supervising and mentoring plant teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical field.
• Prior experience in launching or scaling up a manufacturing facility strongly preferred.
