Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced operations leader to direct all plant activities in injection molding, with a strong focus on process optimization and waste reduction. You will supervise manufacturing personnel and ensure smooth daily operations in a high-precision environment.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in injection molding and at least 3 years in a leadership capacity, plus a track record of SOP development and ISO-compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the injection mold field.
• 3 years in supervisory capacity or higher.
• Experience implementing process improvements and standard SOPs.

Responsibilities

Must have expert in plastic injection molding processes, with extensive knowledge of machine setup, process optimization.

Requirements

Operational responsibility for the facility. Must meet all customer and corporate expectations by planning, coordinating and implementing plans designed to achieve results and utilize the assets of the company in a profitable manner.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

• Plans and directs plant operations and managing manufacturing personnel
• Analyze workflows, set up production processes to eliminate waste and accelerate output.
• Author standard operating procedures, process flow diagrams.
• Investigate equipment failures or process defects and develop permanent solutions
• Continuous audits of all quality systems to ensure complete conformance to policies and procedures.
• Assure resources utilized efficiently and assure 100% on time delivery of a quality product to customers.
• Oversee any and all special commitments and projects in facility
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations, including all licenses and inspections.
• Coordinates the activities of all external resources required to meet expectations.
• Prepares written reports and records.
• Select equipment and services where appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to ISO [Quality and Environmental] procedures, policies and work instructions.
• Performs related duties as required or as assigned by the president or vice president.

SECONDARY:

• Assures are personnel are motivated to meet or exceed expectations.
• Continuously improves skill set to expand on value to organization
• Provides mentoring to subordinates to raise their level of expertise.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Associate Degree in Technical Area can waive educational requirement with adequate prior experience.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the injection mold field with 3 years in supervisory capacity.

• This job is operated in a professional office and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
