Job summary

Quikrete Construction Materials is seeking a Plant Manager to lead our Ready-Mix operations in Florida. You will ensure safe, efficient production, proper batching, and timely deliveries while coordinating with the Area Operations Manager.

We value a self-starter with strong leadership, the ability to manage staff and maintain compliance with DOT/OSHA/EPA regulations. CDL preferred; the role offers growth within a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with concrete and related products.
• 1 year maintenance and supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CDL preferred; valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred).
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety efforts, including meetings and enforcing proper equipment use.
• Ensure batching accuracy and monitor material quality.
• Coordinate operations with Area Operations Manager.
• Supervise plant staff and support hiring and performance management.
• Maintain payroll/timekeeping records and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Oversee equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain plant cleanliness and organization to target capacity.

We are looking for a Plant Manager to join our team. The Plant Manager for Quikrete Construction Materials will oversee ready-mix concrete plant operations, ensuring proper equipment, materials, and production to meet client needs. Maintains safety for personnel and customers, coordinates daily production and deliveries with the Plant Manager, and provides timely reports. May also handle scheduling to ensure efficient, on-time distribution and customer satisfaction.

About the Role

• Leads safety efforts, including meetings and enforcing proper equipment use.

• Monitors delivery timing and works with mixer operators for on-time service.
• Oversees equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Ensures plant operates at target capacity.
• Maintains overall plant cleanliness and organization.

About You

We Require:

• High School diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• 3 years’ experience with concrete and related products.
• 1 year maintenance and supervisory experience preferred.
• Possess a current driver’s license (preferably a C.D.L.).
• Current knowledge of D.O.T., O.S.H.A., EPA, and other agencies regulations.
• Self-starter with desire to promote values and business principles.
• Ability to direct, teach, motivate, and coach.
• Ability to formulate decisions, makes and support recommendations, prioritize work, communicate with multiple parties and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate positive working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
• Bilingual is desired but not required.
