Job summary

Progress Packaging & Technologies, a division of Vandor, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations, develop people, and turn strategy into measurable results. The role has broad responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement, with a Monday–Friday on-site schedule and 1st shift hours.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the packaging and paper converting industry.
  • Experience directing and leading multishift production teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Strong manufacturing leadership and team-development skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while remaining connected to day-to-day operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to delegate effectively and achieve results through others.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • Partner with company leadership on strategic goals and operational priorities.

About this position

Progress Packaging & Technologies, a division of Vandor, is looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and help shape the continued growth and performance of our organization.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished manufacturing leader who enjoys being close to the operation, developing people, solving problems, and turning strategy into measurable results. You’ll have broad responsibility for plant performance and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across safety, quality, delivery, cost, people development, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Schedule: This is an on-site Monday-Friday, 1st shift salary exempt position. Core business hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm.

Work Environment

This position works in both an office setting and within a fast-paced manufacturing warehouse that is not temperature controlled. Required personal protective equipment must be work in accordance with the safety requirements established for the position.
