Job summary

Movement Search and Delivery is seeking a Plant Manager in North Salt Lake City, Utah. The role is on-site in a Metals Manufacturer environment, overseeing operations, maintenance and manufacturing to meet production, quality, and delivery targets at the lowest cost.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field, 7+ years in manufacturing, and strong Continuous Improvement/Lean experience; Six Sigma certification is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
• Six Sigma certification strongly preferred.
• Investment casting experience strongly preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing experience required; Continuous Improvement mindset essential.

Responsibilities

• Safely manage production to meet customer specifications and delivery commitments.
• Ensure adherence to process control procedures and quality instructions.
• Control quality, delivery, and cost of production; monitor work-in-process levels.
• Recommend and purchase new equipment for expansion, efficiency, cost reductions, and quality improvement.
• Provide input on design and installation of equipment for new manufacturing processes.
• Ensure EHS rules are followed by all employees in the departments.
• Manage operational metrics, including Lean processes, cost, and productivity targets daily to monthly.

Movement Search and Delivery is working with a Metals Manufacturer in North Salt Lake City to identify a Plant Manager.

**This is a manufacturing environment and an on-site role.**

Compensation Target:

• -185-200K base

Keys to the role:

• - Metal Fabrication or Hot Work experience preferred (Castings or casting repair experience is ideal)
• - Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing experience required; Six Sigma Certification strongly preferred.
• - Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, or a related engineering field

The Plant Manager will manage and coordinate daily organizational activities across Operations, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and related functions. This role is accountable for achieving production requirements, quality and reliability standards, and on-time delivery at the lowest cost.

Essential Functions

• Safely manufacture quality product while meeting customer specifications and delivery commitments.
• Ensure adherence to process control procedures, operating instructions, and all quality control instructions.
• Control quality, delivery, cost of production, work-in-process levels, and monitor production through planning.
• Recommend and purchase new equipment for expansion, efficiency, cost reductions, and quality improvement.
• Provide input on the design and installation of equipment for new manufacturing processes.
• Ensure EHS rules are always followed by every employee in the departments.
• Manage operational metrics, including Lean processes, variable cost, and productivity targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Experience & Education

• Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, or a related engineering field, or 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• MS or MBA degree is desirable.
• Prefer 7+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Investment casting experience strongly preferred.
• Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing experience required; Six Sigma certification strongly preferred.
