Job summary

MPW Industrial Services is seeking a Plant Manager to lead a water regeneration plant, driving safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvements. You will oversee daily operations, develop plant personnel, and leverage data and technology to meet customer expectations.

You will guide safety initiatives, optimize production capacity, and ensure adherence to corporate policies across a 24/7 service operation. A bachelor’s degree or relevant managerial experience is required.

Job Description

We’re looking for a dependable Plant Manager to safely lead all aspects of an assigned MPW Industrial Water regeneration plant while driving improvement projects that strengthen safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance. This role oversees daily operations, develops plant personnel, and uses operational data and technology to improve results while meeting customer expectations.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead, plan, and organize day-to-day plant operations to safely meet or exceed customer expectations, service requirements, and established operating standards.
  • Maintain a visible commitment to MPW safety objectives, identify improvement opportunities, and provide training and support that strengthen safe plant performance and employee accountability.
  • Increase production, asset capacity, and operating flexibility while controlling unnecessary costs and maintaining the quality standards expected across the regeneration operation.
  • Own plant profit-and-loss performance and make operational decisions with attention to productivity, cost, quality, customer impact, and the efficient use of plant resources.
  • Plan, prioritize, and complete improvement projects that deliver measurable gains in safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance across the assigned regeneration plant.
  • Use Tank Tracker, Power BI, the Industrial Water quality system, and other available technology to identify trends, evaluate performance, and uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor operational performance and translate available plant data into practical actions that improve effectiveness, reliability, consistency, and day-to-day decision-making.
  • Ensure employees remain current on required Learning Management System training and understand applicable corporate policies, operating expectations, and regulations.
  • Build strong internal and external customer relationships by listening to needs, anticipating concerns, communicating clearly, and prioritizing practical solutions that support customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional standards and standardize effective plant practices where appropriate to improve performance, consistency, quality, accountability, and the reputation of the operation.
  • Encourage continuous improvement by refining existing tools and processes, supporting new approaches, and following through on changes that improve plant results.
  • Create employee ownership of safety, production, and quality through clear expectations, accountability, communication, coaching, and hands-on leadership with plant personnel.
  • Approach operational challenges with urgency, sound judgment, and a drive to win while remaining focused on sustainable performance and continued operational growth.
  • Promote respectful working relationships with employees, customers, and local communities while supporting employee development, internal opportunities, and appropriate referrals that strengthen the team.
  • Adapt working hours as needed to support the demands of a 24/7 service business, including long or non-traditional hours when plant and customer needs require leadership coverage.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant managerial experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate employees and build ownership of safety, production, and quality.
  • Strong technical and mechanical skills with the hands-on ability to understand and support plant equipment and operational needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, along with professional verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work long, non-traditional hours as a regular part of supporting a 24/7 service operation when business needs require it.
