Orwashers Bakery, a New York City institution, seeks a hands-on Plant Manager to own warehousing, logistics, maintenance, sanitation, production, and frozen cold-chain operations across multiple facilities. You will lead a team of department managers, keep operations safe, clean, and inspection-ready, and drive disciplined processes to support growth.

Reporting to the COO, you’ll influence the leadership team.

Formación

• 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, food, CPG, or beverage is preferred.
• Strong technical skills in process improvement and materials management.
• Experience managing budgets and being financially accountable.
• Flexible schedule including one weekend day and early mornings/evenings.
• Conversational Spanish highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead warehouse operations across multiple facilities, prioritizing safety, cleanliness, efficiency, and preventative maintenance.
• Manage maintenance and sanitation programs to keep facilities inspection-ready and work toward SQF certification.
• Oversee warehouse capacity and the movement of goods between facilities, finding efficiencies in transportation and supply chain.
• Develop and implement SOPs, train and mentor your team, and maintain a visible presence on the floor, including during off-hours and weekends.
• Report on weekly KPIs, manage budgets, and lead the rollout of supply chain analytics to support better business decisions.

What You Will Do

As Plant Manager, you will own all aspects of warehousing, logistics, maintenance, sanitation, production, and frozen cold chain operations across multiple facilities. You will lead a team of department managers, keep the business safe, clean, and inspection-ready, and bring the operational discipline needed to support continued growth. Reporting to the COO, you will be a senior voice on the leadership team, driving process improvements and ensuring the business runs efficiently at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Lead warehouse operations across multiple facilities, prioritizing safety, cleanliness, efficiency, and preventative maintenance
• Manage maintenance and sanitation programs to keep facilities inspection-ready and work toward SQF certification

Who You Are

You are a hands-on operations leader with deep experience in food manufacturing or a related CPG environment, comfortable managing multiple facilities and leading through people. You are safety-obsessed, mechanically inclined, and energized by solving problems before they happen. You build buy-in across departments, communicate clearly, and are just as comfortable on the warehouse floor as you are reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; food, CPG, or beverage experience a plus
• Strong technical skills in process improvement and materials management
• Experience managing budgets and being held financially accountable
• Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment and navigating changing business demands
• Able to work a flexible schedule including one weekend day as part of regular schedule and early mornings and evenings
• Comfortable to be on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
• Conversational Spanish highly preferred
