Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily plant operations, ensuring product quality, food safety, and production efficiency.
• Drive operational KPIs across output, cost, quality, waste reduction, and safety.
• Manage plant budgets, cost structures, and performance to achieve P&L targets.
• Oversee supply chain, procurement, production planning, and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, food quality, and manufacturing standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop site managers and operational leaders.
• Manage labor effectively within a co-manufacturing environment.
• Work cross-functionally with commercial, R&D, and technical teams on new product introductions.
• Drive continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Support capacity planning, capital projects, equipment upgrades, and plant expansion.
• Monitor and report operational and financial KPIs to senior leadership and the board of directors.

Job description

We’re working with an established food manufacturer based in Michigan. They are recruiting a Plant Manager to join their team on Days in return for a competitive salary along with an excellent opportunity to take full leadership and operational responsibility for the manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the COO, the Plant Manager will have full P&L accountability and lead all functional leaders across the plant.

Key Responsibilities include:
