Job summary

Midwest Dry CAST is seeking a plant supervisor to drive safety, quality, and efficiency in production and shipping/receiving. You will guide hourly and daily production goals, oversee scheduling, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading, and hands-on leadership with a track record of managing teams and improving processes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of production experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a management role preferred.
  • High level of mechanical ability to understand how machines work.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, technical procedures, and government regulations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, create reports, and present data to managers, customers, and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure employees are trained on, fully understand, and follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Ensure employees are trained on, fully understand, and follow all policies and procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining quality standards for all products manufactured and purchased
  • Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the plant employees to ensure hourly and daily production goals are met
  • Maintain PM logs to ensure all maintenance is being done correctly and on time
  • Responsible for process flow and continuous improvement planning
  • Responsible for production scheduling to ensure proper on hand inventory levels
  • Responsible for the Corrective Action Process and ensuring CAR’re adequate
  • Develop and recommend plant capital and operating budgets
  • Capable of performing all Duties and Responsibilities of supervisors, leads, and plant employees
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed

Summary

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage and supervise employees in the manufacturing and shipping & receiving departments. You will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of those departments. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Midwest Dry Cast’s policies and applicable law. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees: planning, assigning, directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • 5+ years of production experience preferred
