Job summary

Miller Fabrication Solutions in Homer City, PA, is seeking a Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations. The role requires building high-performing teams and executing growth initiatives, with a focus on safety, quality, cost and delivery.

You will manage a workforce of about 100, report to the Director of Manufacturing, and drive continuous improvement with Lean, Engineering and Quality teams in an on-site setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience managing frontline supervisors.
• Experience to drive accountability, effective communication and teamwork.
• Experience to be data driven: understand, analyze, summarize, present recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
• Sound, decisive judgment and comfort with operating budgets and plant operating metrics.
• Strong communication skills at every level, from the shop floor to the leadership team.
• Bachelor's degree (preferred), or equivalent leadership experience.

• Own safety, quality, cost and delivery goals and metrics for the plant
• Build and develop the team. Coach supervisors and production employees, recognize strong work, address issues fairly and directly, and grow the next generation of leaders.
• Drive continuous improvement. Partner with Lean, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve methods, flow, and product quality.
• Create a positive work environment: listen to your employees, be involved, be visible, stay engaged!

Miller Fabrication Solutions is a 3rd generation family-owned Company with four plants across western Pennsylvania. We are one of the top OEM Fabricators in the country working to provide effective solutions to our customers. We provide a blend of family-owned culture in a professional environment.

We are looking for a Plant Manager for our manufacturing operations in Homer City, PA. This plant is the home to some of our biggest customers and is positioned for significant growth. The workforce is a good mix of experience and youth.

• 3+ years of leadership experience managing frontline supervisors
• Experience to drive accountability, effective communication and teamwork.
• Experience to be data driven: understand, analyze, summarize, present recommendations to drive continuous improvement and drive changes where needed.
• Sound, decisive judgment and a comfort with operating budgets and plant operating metrics
• Strong communication skills at every level, from the shop floor to the leadership team
• Bachelor's degree (preferred), or equivalent leadership experience

Additional skills that could position you as a stronger candidate:

• Manufacturing experience, especially in a fabrication or welding environment
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods
• Experience leading multi-shift operations
