Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead all manufacturing functions across production, engineering, mining, and maintenance. You will drive capital projects, ensure safety and continuous improvement, and maintain strong relations with sales, marketing and customer service to meet demand efficiently.

The role demands a minimum of 10 years in management within related industries, with a proven track record of leading teams under pressure and championing change.

Qualifications

• BS in related technical or business field.
• Minimum of 10 years of management experience in an industry-related field.

Responsibilities

• Direct all manufacturing functions including production, engineering, mining, maintenance and administrative functions.
• Plan for capital improvements and projects.
• Establish effective employee relations to ensure a well-trained and motivated workforce.
• Maintain a safe working environment with a focus on MSHA compliance.
• Develop subordinates and oversee training, supervision, scheduling and overall management to ensure quality output at minimum cost.
• Interface with sales, marketing and customer service to meet customer needs.
• Maintain production rates to optimize equipment and labor while controlling costs.
• Oversee long-term planning and achievement of company goals.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.

• Develop subordinates, as well as direct, train, supervise, schedule and overall management of the operation to ensure quality output at minimum cost.
• Regularly interface with sales, marketing and customer service to ensure customers’ needs are being met.
• Responsible for maintaining production rates to best utilize equipment and labor while managing costs.
• Oversee planning and execution to ensure long term goals and objectives are met.
• Has involvement with other special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• BS in related technical field or business field
• Minimum of 10 years of management experience in an industry-related field
• Must have experience in diverse functional roles and the ability to work independently.

• Must demonstrate a willingness to challenge conventional ideas and to be flexible and be able to function effectively in a team environment.
