Job summary

Akri USA in Gardena is seeking a factory manager for our central kitchen to drive store operations, production planning, quality control, and safety.

You will lead hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of the Central Kitchen team while coordinating with merchandising and store operations to optimize production lines and schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of team member experience on the related positions, and at least 1-year direct team management and product management experience.
• Production Factory experience will be plus.
• High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Set store sales objectives with practical operations plans including schedules and merchandise orders.
• Hire, onboard, train, and develop the Central Kitchen team.
• Lead weekly sales meetings, quarterly reviews, and safety talks.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety standards.
• Oversee perishable product handling across deli, meat, seafood, bakery, and sushi.
• Operate and guide production tools and equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with Merchandise and CK Manager on floor changes and efficiency.
• Manage department inventory, orders, receiving, returns, quality checks and invoicing.

Summary

Major Japanese company is looking for a factory manager (central kitchen)

Essential Duties

• Based on company sale goal, set store sales objective with practical operations plans including store operation schedule, merchandises order plan, quality assurance plan, and team crew schedule, and other related item or content.
• Be responsible for Central Kitchen team hiring, termination, corrective action, new hire onboarding, training, and development.
• Conduct and lead key meetings with store teams such as weekly sales meetings, quarterly reviews, annual appraisals, and safety talk.
• Properly wear and use company provide Personal Protective Equipment such as uniform / vest, apron, mask, gloves, hat, hair net, and others.
• Based on the assignment, you might need to handle Deli, Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Sushi, and or other perishable products.
• Based on the assignment, you need handle different tools and equipment such as slicer, scale, saw, knife, wrapper, grinder, and or other necessary items.
• Work with Merchandise team and CK Manger and collaborate with store operation team about store floor change.
• Manage and design the best Operation method on the production lines for the CK items (or direct others to do so) in a way that is considerate of product lineup priority.
• Be responsible for department inventory level and deliveries, including order placement, receiving, returning, quality checking and invoice review.

Salary/Benefit

$80,000–$100,000 (based on experience)
