Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a Plant Manager in Franklin, TN. This onsite role leads overall plant operations, drives Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Maintenance programs, and ensures production targets are met while supervising staff and coordinating with maintenance teams.

The position requires prior supervisory experience in manufacturing, forklift/bobcat/loader operation skills, and the ability to work in challenging conditions. The company emphasizes safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• On-the-job training to team members including forklift, bobcat, and loader operation; development of production machine troubleshooting skills.

Job Summary

The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall plant operations, including all production and ensuring all employees strive to meet the standards set forth by the company for Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Preventative Maintenance, and Housekeeping.

Job Location

This is an onsite position located in Franklin, TN.

Job Responsibilities

Set production goals and expectations

Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Set up and operate machinery

Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine

Operateforklift as directed and without supervision while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures

Inspectwork in progress and finished product

Oversee the daily preventive maintenance program

Track/report inventory and parts usage

Analyze scorecards and day shift production reports

Train, promote, and discipline employees

Ensure all safety rules are followed and employee follow safety program

Supervise employees in department to ensure they meet quality and production standards

Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience providing on the job training to team members to include but not limited to the operation of forklift, bobcat, loader, and development of production machine troubleshooting skills

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to motivate, engage teams, and handle conflicts

Able to work in all environmental conditions and extreme temperatures
