Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a Plant Manager for our Franklin, NC site. You will lead a production team, manage budgets and safety, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include planning production, overseeing maintenance, inventory control, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance while delivering on financial targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 10 years progressive experience or training.
• Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree is a plus.
• Experience in planning, negotiations and organizational skills.
• Prior P&L experience.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Solid computer skills and written/oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production activities and supervise the production process.
• Oversee maintenance and preventive maintenance program.
• Inventory counts, audits and control.
• Ensure health, safety, quality, productivity and environmental compliance.
• Estimate production costs and maintain high quality and customer service.
• Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.
• Maximise use of transportation and logistics resources.
• Collaborate with suppliers, sales and customers to execute policies.

Job Summary

The Plant Manager will be responsible for leading a production team and managing all aspects of a fast paced manufacturing facility. Daily duties include monitoring daily key point measures, budgets, safety, production flow and material costs. In this role, the Plant Manager will have responsibility and accountability for bottom line results.

Job Location

This is an onsite position located at our Franklin, NC manufacturing site.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and scheduling production activities, and supervising the production process
• Oversees maintenance of all equipment including managing downtime and ability to maintain a preventative maintenance program
• Responsible for inventory control, counts and audits
• Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, maintenance and environmental compliance
• Estimating production costs, maintaining high quality standards and ensuring good customer service
• Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs
• Responsible for maximizing the use of transportation/logistics
• Working with different departments (e.g. suppliers, sales, customers) effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization
• Ensure the business meets expected financial returns
• Ensures compliance with all local and federal environmental regulations
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; or equivalent of at least ten years of progressive related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is a plus
• Experience in planning, negotiating and organizational skills
• Prior P&L experience
• Strong leadership skills while maintaining a team atmosphere
• Solid computer skills and written/oral communication
