Job summary

MPI is seeking a Lead Site Operations leader to oversee all daily plant activities in a chemical manufacturing setting. You will drive the annual operating plan, manage production, maintenance, quality, warehousing, product development, and materials planning, while fostering a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor and develop teams, partner with sales and customers to drive growth, and act as the Process Technology leader to secure long-term capability.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience within the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Experience leading EHS, production, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Experience working cross-functionally.
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of chemical process safety and safe handling of chemicals preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead Site Operations

Develop and execute the site's Annual Operating Plan to meet customer requirements and business objectives. Provide direct leadership for production, maintenance, quality, warehousing, product development, and materials planning functions. Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, cost performance, and operational efficiency. Manage plant resources and operating costs while maintaining high service levels and product quality standards. Develop, coach, and mentor employees to maximize engagement and performance. Partner with sales, marketing, product development, and customers to support business growth and customer satisfaction. Serve as the site's Process Technology leader, ensuring long-term operational capability and technical expertise. Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

The successful applicant will have 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment. They will also have 5+ years of experience within the chemical manufacturing industry. Proven experience leading EHS, production, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives is required. Strong people leadership, coaching, and team development skills are essential. Demonstrated ability to drive operational performance and achieve business objectives is necessary. Experience working cross-functionally is required. A Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline is preferred. SAP experience is preferred. Knowledge of chemical process safety and the safe handling of chemicals is preferred.
