Overview

Summary: The Plant Manager manages day-to-day operations at the DeWitt, IA manufacturing plant. The non-unionized facility employs approximately 150 employees over two shifts. The facility has an on-site Quality Supervisor, Planner, Engineer, and HR Manager whose supervisors are located at CAR-FRESHNER headquarters in Watertown, NY.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day production output.
• Ensure that product is manufactured to specifications.
• Understand production processes and equipment.
• Advise on new equipment and process improvements. Coordinate installation.
• Oversee facility operations.
• Appointing and supervising of Assistant Plant Manager and all production supervisors.
• Provide direction, training, and development of plant personnel.
• Forecast and maintain the necessary staffing levels for the facility.
• Partner with Human Resources for hiring, retention efforts, and employee performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing in a manufacturing environment.
• Detailed knowledge of plant and manufacturing operations.
• Experience in Printing is advantageous.
