Minimum 5 Years experience in Plant Manager

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Plant Manager manufacturing company located in Metro Detroit. The ideal candidates should have a background in Plant Management, ideally in a fluid environment like a job-shop, and should be comfortable on the floor, in meetings or in front of the customer.

Requirements of the Plant Manager

• Excellent communication, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, email and written means
• Proven knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources and profit & loss)
• Familiarity with automotive industry standard equipment and technical expertise
• Experience in a dynamic, job-shop type of environment
• Knowledgeable in areas of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
• Computer literacy- ability to produce Excel & PowerPoint information as needed
• Ability to create accountability and to lead by example

Responsibilities of the Plant Manager

• Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our clients’ expectations
• Increase production, asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
• Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
• Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
• Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and manage and develop plant staff
• Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
