Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Plant Manager for the Corrigan, TX plywood location. This leadership role provides strategic leadership and coaching across the operation to drive safety, culture, process reliability, quality, and cost containment.

The successful candidate will lead people, improve systems, and drive sustainable change, owning financial performance and capital decisions while aligning with Koch family values.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) or more years of experience leading manufacturing operations and ownership of safety, production, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, mentor Principled Entrepreneurs to drive engagement and value creation through a Principle-Based Management culture.
  • Lead the overall operation of the facility from receipt of raw materials to shipment of finished plywood.
  • Ensure safety, production scheduling, inventory control, operating rate, fiber recovery, and financial performance expectations are met.
  • Provide safety leadership by modeling safe behaviors and holding all levels accountable for EHS performance.
  • Lead transformational change initiatives that prioritize safety while improving reliability, quality, and cost competitiveness.
  • Own facility financial performance, including operating expenses and capital investment decisions.

Georgia-Pacific is currently seeking a Plant Manager at theCorrigan, TX Plywood location. This key leadership role provides strategic leadership and coaching to employees across the operation, driving continuous improvement insafety,culture/talent development,process reliability, product quality, and operating costs while reinforcing our values.

The successful candidate will be a principled, results-driven leader who creates value by developing people, improving systems, and leading sustainable change.

What You Will Do
  • Develop, lead, and mentor Principled Entrepreneurs to drive engagement, accountability, and long-term value creation through a Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture.
  • Lead the overall operation of the facility, from receipt of raw materials through the shipment of finished plywood to market.
  • Ensure the facility meets company expectations forsafety,production scheduling, inventory control, operating rate, fiber recovery, and financial performance.
  • Provide visible, values-driven safety leadership by setting clear expectations, actively modeling safe behaviors, and holding all levels of the organization accountable for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) performance. Build and sustain systems, capabilities, and a culture that proactively eliminates risk and drives an injury-free and environmentally compliant workplace.
  • Lead and sustain transformational change initiatives that prioritize safety performance while improving reliability, quality, and cost competitiveness.
  • Lead profitable change initiatives that strengthen operational performance and deliver long-term business value.
  • Own facility financial performance, including operating expense management, capital investment decisions, and financial trade-offs aligned with business objectives.
  • Formulate and execute business improvement strategies that deliver measurable operational and financial results.
  • Provide clear direction and priorities to ensure successful execution of workflow processes across the facility.
  • Select, develop, and lead a high-performing leadership team that works collaboratively to achieve facility objectives.
  • Maintain strong workingpartnershipswith peers acrosssafety,procurement, sales, accounting, HR, engineering, and other support capabilities.
  • Ensure the facility complies with all applicable company policies and state, federal, and local regulations.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Three (3) or more years of experience leading manufacturing operations, including ownership of safety, production, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement in a complex operating environment.
  • Experience leading and managing direct reports, including identifying talent gaps, coaching and development, performance feedback, and incentive alignment.
  • Working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management systems, risk assessment and mitigation, and project planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and hold teams accountable for safe work practices while fostering a culture where safety is a core value.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Three (3) or more years of progressive leadership experience in a wood products manufacturing facility in one or more of the following roles: Plant Manager, Production Manager, Plant Superintendent, Reliability or Maintenance Manager, or equivalent leadership position.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Wood Science.
  • Experience in leading or supporting large capital engineering or management projects.
