Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with robotic welding, welded assemblies, metal fabrication, or highly automated manufacturing.
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing, production planning, and plant KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day plant operations and manufacturing performance.
  • Drive safety, quality, production, delivery, labor, and cost objectives.
  • Oversee robotic welding and automated manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, scrap, downtime, labor efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production leadership.
  • Manage plant budgets, staffing, capital projects, and operational priorities.
  • Develop supervisors and plant leadership while building a culture of accountability.
  • Support customer audits, new product launches, equipment installations, and process improvements.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead a high-volume automotive manufacturing operation specializing in robotic welded assemblies. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for someone who knows how to drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity while building a strong, accountable team.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead all day‑to‑day plant operations and manufacturing performance.
  • Drive safety, quality, production, delivery, labor, and cost objectives.
  • Oversee robotic welding and automated manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, scrap, downtime, labor efficiency, quality, and on‑time delivery.

What We’re Looking For
  • 8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Plant-level or multi‑department operational leadership experience.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with robotic welding, welded assemblies, metal fabrication, or highly automated manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, and automotive quality requirements.
  • Strong Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement background.
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing, production planning, and plant KPIs.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.

Experience leading a union manufacturing environment and knowledge of robotic arc or resistance welding are additional advantages.
