Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing and support functions at our Clarksville facility. You will supervise teams, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement across production, safety, quality, and compliance with SQF standards.

Qualifications

  • BA or equivalent + 3 yrs related experience or MA + 1 yr related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, leverage, and guide the work of others and mobilize resources.
  • Monitor and achieve operational and/or financial results for the area of responsibility.
  • Hire, terminate, reward, train, and develop employees.
  • Manage experienced professionals and/or supervisors.
  • Head one or more sections or a small department.
  • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to meet short-term challenges.
  • Analyze diverse operational situations and data across multiple factors and disciplines.
  • Solve problems according to operational policies and assess broader departmental impact.
  • Advise subordinates to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
  • Integrate the area of responsibility with other areas to achieve department objectives.
  • Interpret and administer policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements; may manage budgets.
  • Interact with internal personnel and outside representatives.
  • Participate in and present at internal and external meetings.
  • Manage manufacturing, engineering, production, maintenance, planning and control, quality, environmental, and employee health and safety processes across the plant.
  • Follow procedures and participate in corrective actions related to Safe Quality Foods (SQF).

Requirements

  • Report potentially unsafe conditions and customer complaints to a person of authority
  • Participate in SQF root cause and corrective actions as required
