Job summary

Poultry Science Association is seeking a capable plant leader to oversee daily operations for seafood processing, coordinating production, warehousing, maintenance and staff leadership.

The role carries P&L responsibility and requires managing multiple shifts to meet quality, food safety and cost metrics. Experience with HACCP, GMP and ERP systems is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years working in plant management in a food production operation.
• Experience with proteins (seafood, meat, poultry).
• Knowledge of maintenance, QA, production scheduling, sanitation, forklift operation and regulatory agency requirements.
• Understanding HACCP, SQF and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Experience working with refrigeration.
• Experience working with seafood is preferred, but not required.

• Oversee the daily operation of the facility including production, warehousing, inventory, logistics, maintenance, and staff leadership


• The position will have P&L responsibility


• Manage production activities across multiple shifts and departments to manufacture products that meet established quality, food safety, innovation, sanitation and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies


• Implement processes and act as the process authority in all areas of the plant


• Monitor/track production yields to determine required adjustments to improve yields and increase efficiencies


• Troubleshoot supply chain issues
