Job summary

Eco Material Technologies, a CRH Company, seeks a Plant Manager to oversee production facility activities, including grinding pozzolanic materials, drying, screening, and equipment maintenance. Lead safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control while driving continuous improvement.

You will manage start-up projects, develop SOPs, mentor staff, and implement operations systems; collaborate with QC, suppliers, and end users to ensure product quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Engineering or technical degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and 5S.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all areas of greenfield start up, including the development of Standard Operating Procedures, training of staff, and implementation of operations systems.
  • Direct shift production teams in all aspects of safety, quality, adherence to production schedule, labor efficiency, waste management, maintenance schedule, and cost.
  • Optimize existing processes to improve plant efficiencies; including troubleshooting and resolving process issues as they occur. Support development of key indicators and metrics that will ultimately tie to plant efficiencies.
  • Work closely with QC department to ensure product quality based on conformance to specifications.
  • Work closely with supplier and end user of fly ash to ensure proper production requirements are achieved and product quality conforms to specifications.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance systems are utilized and timely repair of all production equipment is maintained.
  • Work closely with other key departments as needed.
  • Assist in the hiring of all new production employees.
  • Evaluate all plant employees annually.
  • Utilize "Six Sigma" or related skills to maintain a clean and organized operation focused on 5S, visual metrics and continuous improvements.
  • Create reporting format to communicate results to plant associates.

Job Summary

The Plant Manager is responsible for the functional oversight of all production facility activities. Key areas of accountability could include the mining and grinding of pozzolan materials, and/or drying, screening and testing of landfilled fly ash material and the maintenance of the equipment necessary to perform these tasks.

Job Requirements
  • Excellent organizational and management of people, including demonstrated experience in building high functioning teams.
  • Demonstrated examples of metrics usage and planning processes to deliver results.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, with knowledge of lean tools such as root cause failure analysis, preventive maintenance, visual management, and 5S.
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA and/or MSHA regulations and safety requirements preferred.
  • Engineering or Technical Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
