Job summary

Amcor Kenosha is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of plant machinery including Sidel Blow Mold, conveyors, chillers, air compressors, and packaging equipment. The role requires attention to quality in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with SAP, FMS, MS Outlook, and other Amcor computer programs; maintain tools; ensure safety; participate in safety programs; cover vacations per attendance policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, some college, technical or vocational education preferred.
• Previous manufacturing work experience is preferred.
• Good written and verbal communications skills are required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to recognize and understand numbers and values, including data entry into database.
• Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates schedule flexibility for coverage for vacations and other absences.
• Possesses the desire for continuing education, within the job position requirements and or personal enrichment.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair production machinery in a timely manner.
• Dismantle machinery to remove/replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic circuits using schematics for troubleshooting or repair.
• Repair electric circuits with understanding of electrical schematics.
• Learn new equipment operation, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Determine materials and/or parts needed for service or repair.
• Maintain tools and maintenance areas, ensure safety practices.
• Interact with maintenance staff and operators to ensure safe operation of equipment.
