Job summary

Champion Home Builders Inc. in Lillington, NC is seeking a Plant Maintenance Worker to inspect, repair, and maintain machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.

The role focuses on preventing downtime and supporting production with scheduled maintenance and timely repairs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hydraulics, welding, and mechanical systems, plus an applicable technical certificate.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedules maintenance to avoid hindering production timelines.
• Coordinates repairs to support production schedules.
• Installs and repairs electrical components of machinery.
• Maintains pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and gauges/valves.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
