Job summary

Little River Materials is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Millbrook, AL. The role involves servicing and repairing plant equipment, performing daily inspections, and ensuring grease and safety checks are in place to support production.

The ideal candidate has experience with heavy machinery, electrical issues, welding, and driving CDL-compliant equipment. You will work with management to plan maintenance and keep multiple tasks progressing. This position is on-site with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate Heavy Equipment.
• Experience resolving electrical issues preferred.
• Experience with plant maintenance preferred.
• Heavy Equipment maintenance experience required.
• Welding or fabrication experience preferred.
• CDL preferred.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and progress to completion.

Responsibilities

• Properly complete services and repairs on equipment and plant.
• Produce daily equipment inspections and document findings.
• Check behind operators to ensure the equipment is properly greased.
• Work with management on planning and scheduling services.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot units to resolve malfunctions.
• Follow checklists and examine critical parts.
• Test-operate equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Complete all work per safety requirements.
• Contribute to achieving production objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
