Redwood Farms Meat Processors in Estherville, IA, is hiring for a Plant Maintenance role with an hourly wage of $28–$33, plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus. The role covers repairing and maintaining production equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring food safety compliance.

Formación

• Experience in manufacturing with mechanical and/or electrical discipline.
• Awareness of food safety standards during equipment maintenance.
• Experience with skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, and lifts; in-house certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures: confined space entry, line opening, fall protection, lockout/tagout, and hot work.
• Effective communication with supervisors and co-workers and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to read and understand operator manuals, service manuals, and wiring schematics.
• Proficient math skills, measuring, and data trend reading; accurate record-keeping.
• Willingness to work extra hours as needed.
• Ability to work in a facility that processes pigs.
• Must be 18+ years old for insurance purposes.

Responsabilidades

• Perform weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks.
• Repair or replace grinders, augers, pumps, motors, and gear boxes.
• Respond to emergency calls; repair machinery with minimal downtime.
• Repair equipment or ensure proper hand-off before leaving the facility.
• Operate skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, and scissor lifts safely.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment (acetylene torches, plasma cutters, TIG welders).
• Perform building repairs and general maintenance duties as needed.
• Complete work orders documenting materials and time spent.
