Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of a high-volume extrusion facility, applying electrical and mechanical expertise to minimize downtime.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electromechanical systems, document activities, and collaborate on equipment upgrades while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose complex systems.
• Experience with 480V systems, motor controls, and industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Execute rapid response repairs on critical machinery to ensure continuous production throughput.
• Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance, including lubrication, component replacement, and system inspections.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate electromechanical systems, including motors, sensors, and automated control units.
• Maintain precise documentation of maintenance activities and parts usage in the digital management system.
• Uphold safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and machine safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to install and commission new equipment upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Execute rapid response repairs on critical machinery to ensure continuous production throughput.
• Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance, including lubrication, component replacement, and system inspections to extend equipment lifespan.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate complex electromechanical systems, including motors, sensors, and automated control units.
• Maintain precise documentation of all maintenance activities and parts usage within our digital management system.
• Uphold rigorous safety standards, including strict adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) and machine safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to install and commission new equipment upgrades.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in industrial electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and reading electrical schematics.
• Strong understanding of 480V systems, motor controls, and industrial automation.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with PLC programming and HMI interface diagnostics.
• Background in maintaining extrusion or high-speed manufacturing machinery.
• Technical certification or formal training in industrial maintenance or related fields.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic system repair.
