Job summary

Cemstone Concrete Materials LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain equipment across company facilities. The role involves welding, fabrication, and preventive maintenance to support continuous production and minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has a Class A CDL, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with safety regulations. Excellent teamwork and communication are essential in our family-owned manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; vocational training equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, math, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience with maintenance, welding, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Familiar with OSHA, EPA, NEC codes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Class A CDL to travel between facilities and perform maintenance.
• Fabricate, weld, grind, and torch cut on plant equipment.
• Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor about tasks and issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspect equipment to ensure uptime.
• Troubleshoot down equipment and repair pneumatics, fabrication, etc.
• Plan projects to minimize downtime and secure parts ahead of shutdown.
• Maintain safe, clean workspace and comply with safety policies.
• Operate aerial lifts, forklifts, and other equipment as needed.

We offer competitive pay and a great benefits package.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Utilize and maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to travel between company facilities and provide any maintenance operations as needed.Carry out any metal fabrication, welding, grinding, and torch cutting on plant equipment and structures to support preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives.Communicate with Plant Maintenance Supervisor and/or Manager on daily tasks, projects, or any issues that may arise.Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in the plant. This may consist of inspecting, greasing, cleaning or repairing production equipment to ensure uninterrupted production capability.Troubleshoot and repair equipment that is down or in need of repair: material transferring equipment, pneumatics, fabrication, etc.Strategize and prepare for upcoming projects to ensure that all parts are readily available prior to a plant shutdown to reduce downtime.Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers. Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company.Efficiently and safely operates the use of any aerial equipment (manlift, scissor lift, etc.), skid loaders, forklifts, front end loaders, or any other piece of equipment.Ability to maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace.Fulfill maintenance tasks using appropriate safety equipment and safety procedures (i.e.: lockout tag out, guarding, confined space, use of respirators and fall protection).Perform all other duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Must have a high school diploma. Technical knowledge and skills equivalent to a vocational technical degree. Vocational degree/certificate and 3+ years’ experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.Strong communication, leadership, math, and interpersonal skills.
