Job summary

U.S. Silica is seeking a Maintenance B to assist maintenance mechanics, electricians, and mobile techs in repairs and preventive maintenance of plant machinery, equipment, structures, tools, and facilities at our Pacific, MO site.

The role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, and reliable production support. Responsibilities include shift-ready inspections, reporting unsafe conditions, completing work orders, maintaining inventory, and assisting with PM and repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• High level of safety and quality.
• Proficient in welding and other hot work.
• Personal Protective Equipment will be worn at all times on duty.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) knowledge preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Computer software knowledge preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and JD Edwards (JDE) or WonderWare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Before work begins on any shift, visually inspect equipment and work area for safe conditions.
• Follow all company safety and health policies.
• Report unsafe conditions to management and ensure proper barricading/lockout/tagout.
• Report all accidents immediately.
• Keep high traffic areas clean and clear from debris and spills.
• Follow Environmental Compliance standards and report environmental events.
• Assist in maintaining the PM program through analysis.
• Maintain parts inventory.
• Assist mechanics in safely completing jobs on time; perform additional duties as assigned.
• Perform preventative mechanical maintenance per established procedures.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust production and safety equipment.
• Complete work orders on schedule; communicate with operations personnel.
• Document completed tasks and request needed tools/parts; provide information to management.
