Job summary

Ajinomotocareers is seeking a Floor Mechanic to monitor, repair and maintain production equipment and facility utilities in a Missouri plant. The role includes preventive maintenance, startup testing, inspection, lubrication and timely repairs to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, coordinating with the Maintenance Planner for schedules, assisting start-up and adjustments, and performing general building repairs while complying

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical systems and components including chains, sprockets, gears, bushings, bearings, gear boxes and other moving parts.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with coworkers, supervisors and department managers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain processing equipment both mechanical and electrical.
• Inspect, recognize potential problems, and take appropriate action to prevent component failure.
• Monitor machinery to minimize unplanned downtime and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Planner to schedule routine and preventative maintenance.
• Assist team leaders and machine operators in efficient line start up and equipment adjustments.
• Perform building maintenance and repairs including carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
• Adhere to GMPs, SOPs and safety policies; promote a safe work environment.
• Weld and fabricate machinery when necessary.
