Plant Maintenance Supervisor –

Sioux County LLC- Sheldon, IA

This position is essential in the operations of our plant. Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager and working with the Plant Manager, Production Managers, and directing maintenance staff to ensure equipment is operating as needed.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Supervising maintenance staff and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.
2. Managing maintenance staff by setting direction and priorities.
3. Providing training and continuous development to staff.
4. Driving preventative and predictive maintenance, not reactive.
5. Overseeing the inspection, repairs, installation, modifications, and overall maintenance of the plant.
6. Working with Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, QC Manager, Safety Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory inspections including, but not limited to USDA, OSHA, customer and third-party audits.
7. Utilizing Managers Plus to track job order status.
8. Maintaining and enforcing compliance of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
9. Maintaining quality standards.
10. Maintaining safety standards.
11. Excellent communication skills.
12. Having a hands-on work ethic.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of basic computer skills, reading schematics, and electrical is required. Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly preferred. Advanced knowledge of mechanical/electrical fields such as PLCs, instrumentation, etc. is preferred. Lean Manufacturing principles are also preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, kneel, stoop, and walk to areas where equipment is located.
