Job summary

Pilgrim's plant is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance planning, coordinate the maintenance department, and oversee sanitation of all property and capital equipment. You will manage Fab, Kill, and outside departments and ensure alignment with policy and regulatory standards.

The role focuses on meeting maintenance schedules, developing staff, budget oversight, and continuous plant improvement in a fast-paced food processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Meet maintenance schedules and manage the PM program.
• Oversee reliability of plant equipment and limit downtime to target levels.
• Lead training programs for hourly and salaried staff.
• Ensure plant safety programs are followed and improve food safety practices.
• Coordinate maintenance with operations and other departments.
• Develop capital investment ideas to improve plant profitability.
• Oversee contractors and vendors supporting maintenance resources.
• Evaluate supervisors and hourly employees and address performance issues.
