Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on ready mix plant equipment at multiple locations in the Huntington, WV area. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and ensure equipment uptime.

Responsibilities include inspecting and replacing components such as conveyors, mixers, motors, and gearboxes, and performing routine maintenance on ready mix concrete trucks.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Willingness to travel between multiple ready mix plant locations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on ready mix plant equipment to maximize operational uptime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems associated with plant operations.
• Inspect, maintain, and replace components including conveyors, mixers, motors, gearboxes, and related production equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on ready mix concrete trucks as needed, including routine inspections and mechanical repairs.
• Partner with operations teams to support safe, reliable, and productive performance across multiple ready mix plant locations.

What Are We Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and travel between multiple ready mix plant locations as needed.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
