Job summary

Halliburton is seeking skilled technicians for hands-on maintenance of mechanical equipment at our site in the U.S. You will diagnose, repair and replace worn components, following mechanical drawings and HMS processes. Strong troubleshooting, tool use and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Job Duties

• Under general supervision, performs preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs a variety of mechanical equipment relative to their assigned location.
• Performs function testing to verify equipment readiness after maintenance.
• Must be proficient in understanding/interpreting mechanical schematics/drawings/equipment manuals.
• Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble machinery and equipment as required.
• Adjust, align, and repair machine components, replacing defective or worn parts as necessary.
• Assemble and install machinery and equipment according to engineering specificationsusing hoists, jacks, lasers, micrometers, plumb bobs, squares, rules, and other precision tools.
• Move and position heavy equipment using forklifts, hoists, dollies, rollers, trucks, and other lifting devices.
• Maintain and repair equipment includeing but not limited to; bucket elevators, screw conveyers, pnuematic converying systems, large gear reducers, electric motors, bulk loading equipment, rail siding equipment, forklifts, and railcar movers.
• Accurately document maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts usage.
• Ensures adherence to and accurate maintenance of, as well as input of, data into Halliburton's system of record.
• This role is responsible for following specific and detailed work processes within the Halliburton Management System (HMS) during daily job activities.
• Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
• Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical school certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Diesel Technology, Millwright, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, prints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
• Basic set of hand tools is required.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous experience as a Millwright, Mechanical Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely operate lifting and rigging equipment.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work safely in industrial and mining environments.

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
