Job summary

CVR Energy, Inc. is seeking an experienced plant maintenance technician in the United States.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining large mechanical equipment in a nitrogen plant, ensuring safe operations and compliance with health, safety and environmental policies. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, alignments, and repairs of rotating and reciprocating equipment, along with assisting in outages and improving reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience maintaining industrial process or power plant equipment preferred.
• Experience with bearings, pumps, turbines, couplings, and alignment.
• Knowledge of gearboxes, heat exchangers, boilers, condensers and piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mechanical equipment (compressors, pumps, generators, turbines, valves, conveyors).
• Inspect machinery for irregularities and malfunctions; perform routine inspections.
• Perform critical alignments and repairs of rotating and reciprocating equipment.
• Operate forklifts and other portable equipment; support outages and housekeeping.
• Read drawings and P&ID's; participate in root-cause analyses; support continuous improvement.
