A leading company in Orlando is seeking a Maintenance Manager responsible for overseeing the maintenance and proper utilization of equipment and facilities. The role involves ensuring safety and efficiency in operations, managing maintenance staff, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve operational performance. Candidates should have a technical degree and relevant management experience, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
Responsible for maintenance and proper utilization of equipment and facility. Ensure: standardized, safe, and efficient functioning / operation of all equipment, completion of required preventive maintenance, correct operation of fresh water and wastewater, and the building structure and capability as a production facility. Monitor plant and equipment levels and proactively adjust to ensure output levels are met in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner to meet business needs. Build and maintain positive working relationships with Market Center Management team and keep them informed of maintenance issues. Leverage resources of the Engineering team as needed to address and resolve engineering issues.

Safety
--Create and support a culture of adherence to corporate standards in support of production, financial, and safety goals.
Maintenance Management
--Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and visually audit plant performance to ensure optimal production and maintenance efficiency for all systems and equipment.
--Follow corporate direction to establish maintenance schedules that ensure timely equipment operation without disrupting production activities. Follow manufacturer guidelines for preventive maintenance, review, and upkeep of equipment.
--Proactively address issues with equipment or facilities, seeking efficient and timely resolutions. Communicate with Market Center management regarding resolution activities and timelines.
--Perform needed repairs safely and efficiently to restore equipment or facilities to operational condition.
--Seek specialized expertise when necessary to complete repairs, audit work, and ensure safety and standards compliance.
--Assist, oversee, and coordinate installation or removal of new equipment, ensuring contracted work is completed safely and efficiently.
--Oversee water and energy use, seeking cost-effective management strategies.
--Collaborate with Market Center management to identify and implement systems and methods to improve safety and operational efficiency, in line with safety guidelines, goals, and cost constraints.
Production and Maintenance Management Systems
--Ensure plant and equipment operate safely at peak efficiency to facilitate safe, timely, and efficient processing.
Data and Performance Measures
--Utilize production and maintenance data to contribute to the achievement of financial objectives.
Maintenance Team Oversight and Development
--Responsible for hiring, placement, and removal of maintenance staff within the market center. Consult with management on staffing decisions.
Market Center and Corporate Support
--Work closely with Engineering management to share best practices and improve safety and efficiency across the company.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should demonstrate capability in the following areas:
--Two-year technical college degree or certificate in a related discipline or equivalent work experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
--Two years of experience managing maintenance staff.
--Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and large machinery; industrial experience preferred.
--Management experience in safety initiatives, planning, preventive maintenance, budgeting, and vendor management.
--Ability to read maintenance literature.
--Experience with maintenance management systems; Manager Plus preferred.
--Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adaptability to ambiguous situations.
