  • Follow OSHA regulations and LOTO protocols; keep a hazard-free work area.
  • Observe operation and identify anomalies; perform minor adjustments as needed.
  • Record service logs and maintenance records for plant equipment.
  • Maintain site housekeeping and operate various plant equipment as required.
  • Assist with general tasks around the worksite under supervision.

The primary objective of this position is to assess the employee’s potential for long-term development within the company.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, lubricate moving parts, and complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to prevent component failures.
  • Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components, including conveyor belts, idlers, pulleys, and water pumps.
  • Strictly adhere to OSHA regulations, execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and maintain a hazard-free work area.
  • Observe aggregate feeders and screening areas during operation to identify anomalies by sight or sound and perform minor adjustments.
  • Record and maintain service logs, lubrication reports, and maintenance records for plant equipment.
  • Maintain standard housekeeping and washing of site.
  • Operate various plant equipment as needed.

  • Technical Expertise -Solid mechanical understanding of mobile equipment, including basic maintenance checks and troubleshooting minor issues. Ability to identify signs of equipment malfunction, understand and report them to the maintenance team.
Education
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience
  • Experience in maintenance, preferably within the around heavy equipment and machines.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety and the ability to follow safety procedures
  • General awareness of tools and equipment used on-site
  • Willingness to learn mechanical and maintenance fundamentals
  • Exposure to preventative maintenance processes under supervision
Other Requirements
  • Entry level mechanic, qualified to perform general utility work and light maintenance under supervision of experienced mechanic.
  • Knowledge of using a wide variety of hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of lock out/ tag out protocols.
  • Knowledge of lock out/ tag out protocols.
  • Safety and compliance with MSHA/OSHA procedures and requirements.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to work required overtime, which may include up to or more than 12 hours per day and up to 7 days per week.
