Job summary

L. G. Everist, Inc. is seeking a Plant Maintenance worker to keep the rock quarry operating smoothly. You will perform routine cleanup, operate equipment, and assist with maintenance tasks outdoors.

Qualifications include maintenance experience, the ability to follow safety rules, being self-directed, and reliable attendance. A high school diploma or GED is required; lifting up to 50 pounds and exposure to all weather are expected.

• Maintenance such as changing screens, liner changes, assist bearing changes on head pulleys, tail pulleys, and conveyors, adjusting wipers and belts, adjustments on cone crusher, and changing clips on conveyors as instructed.
• Minimum welding and torching.
• Hourly, daily, and weekly inspections.
• Stop and start-up of plant.
• Sampling.

Job Description

Department: Plant Maintenance

Reports to: Plant Manager

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Plant Maintenance position is routine plant clean-up, operating various pieces of equipment, and maintenance work. Plant Maintenance helps keep the rock crushing quarry operating properly.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The position has no direct reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Routine plant and car clean-up.
• Operate equipment such as water truck, skid steer/back hoe clean up, mower, weed eater, 35 ton haul truck or small loader.
• Maintenance such as changing screens, liner changes, assist bearing changes on head pulleys, tail pulleys, and conveyors, adjusting wipers and belts, adjustments on cone crusher, and changing clips on conveyors as instructed.
• Minimum welding and torching.

• Stop and start-up of plant.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
