Plant Loader / Switchman
Philadelphia, PA

PSC Group is hiring a dedicated Plant Loader / Switchman to join our team! We invest in our employees' training and safety, recognizing that our success depends on our team. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, some weekends required

Pay Range: Starting at $21.50, with opportunities for advancement

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Loader:

• Ensure vessel is secured and inspected at the loading rack
• Transfer product according to procedures
• Check product/vessel weight to stay within limitations
• Complete required paperwork before releasing the vessel
• Communicate with site leadership, team members, and customer contacts
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Switchman:

• Examine track list to determine railcars to be spotted, loaded, or shipped
• Separate inbound railcars and spot them for loading/discharge
• Pull and separate loaded railcars for shipping from preloaded ones
• Ensure DOT certification for weight on outbound loads is not exceeded

Job Qualifications:

• Experience is a plus but not required; paid on-the-job training available
• May require a valid Driver’s License and/or TWIC card depending on location
• Must be 18 or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• Military experience and ability to follow procedures are a plus
