Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company seeks a plant lead to support roasting-plant operations and drive daily productivity. You will assist the supervisor, manage shift starts and close-outs, and act as an escalation resource to resolve issues while safeguarding quality and inventory control.

You will lead sanitation, train team members on SOPs and safety, review attendance and timesheets, and champion continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.
  • 1 year experience with manufacturing computerized or warehouse systems.
  • 4+ years in manufacturing or distribution.
  • High School Diploma or GED or 4+ years US military service.
  • Clear communication, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist supervisor in day-to-day operations and advise of task completion.
  • Prepare for and execute shift kick-off, close-out procedures and shift notes.
  • Serve as escalation resource for problems during shift.
  • Audit area daily for product quality, inventory accuracy and customer service.
  • Lead daily manufacturing, distribution or green coffee operations tasks.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment and sanitation schedule.
  • Provide training and coaching on SOPs, quality and safety procedures.
  • Recommend process improvements and support business changes.
  • Review Kronos timesheets and ensure accuracy.
  • Follow safety guidelines, PPE, Lock Out Tag Out and related regs.

Oversee team execution of master sanitation schedule.Provide training and coaching to team members on standard operating procedures, quality and safety procedures and regulations.Recommend process improvements. Support process and business changes.May create staffing schedules and communicate with temporary staffing agency to provide needed associates. Review line communication boards for Continuous Improvement suggestions, enters work orders into maintenance tracking system for issues requiring follow up.Review and update Kronos ensure partner timesheets are accurate.Demonstrate and understand safety as our core value and follow the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution; reinforces and coaches others to do the same coaches others to do the same.
