Grande is hiring a Plant Lab Technician for the weekend day shift. You will perform laboratory tests on dairy and environmental samples, ensure accurate results, and communicate findings to internal customers. Training begins Tue-Fri, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM before the regular schedule.

The role offers three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours) with pay for 40 hours, weekend premium, and work-life balance in a startup-like HPWT environment. Benefits include onsite clinics and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Associate Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related discipline preferred.
• One year or more of lab experience preferred.
• Good analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsabilités

• Perform laboratory tests on products including dairy and environmental samples using approved methods.
• Provide accurate test results and communicate findings to internal customers in a timely manner.
• Participate in QA programs such as SQF, environmental monitoring, calibration, lab inventory, SOP development, RCA/CAPA investigations, and documentation reviews.

Please Note: Training will temporarily be conducted Tuesday-Friday, 5:00AM-3:30PM before transitioning to the regular work schedule.

• Pay Starting at $23.80/hour
• Weekend Shift Premium: $2.25 an hour (Saturdays and Sundays)

Weekend Advantage: Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours each week.

Job Summary

Plant Lab Technicians perform laboratory tests on various products including dairy and environmental samples. Responsible for providing accurate test results using predetermined, approved methods of analysis and ensuring that results are communicated to our internal customers in a timely and efficient manner. Participate in various internal and external Quality programs, such as SQF and internal auditing, with activities such as data analysis, environmental monitoring, calibration, lab inventory, SOP development, RCA/CAPA investigations, and documentation reviews.

What you need to be considered for the role:

• High School or GED required.
• Associate Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or other related discipline preferred.
• One (1) or more years of prior lab experience and ability to demonstrate knowledge of proper laboratory techniques, whether by job experience or prior education, is strongly preferred.
• Good analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities within a start-up environment.
• Self-Organization Skills.
• Ability to read and use equipment manuals.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions:

This role requires the ability to regularly lift and move objects weighing between 20-50 lbs, as well as frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and exposure to vibration. The work environment may involve exposure to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold), high humidity, and loud machinery.
