Job description

As the Plant Inbound-Outbound Scheduler, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate shipments to distribution centers and customers. You will coordinate receiving of raw and packaging materials and ingredients and ensure all shipments are processed efficiently. This position is located at our Grand Rapids, MI plant and typically follows standard business hours, with some on-call responsibilities and occasional weekend work. You will be an integral part of our operations services team, helping keep our plant running smoothly and on-time.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
  1. Inventory Management – Schedule shipments in and out of the plant. Develop the daily outbound shipment schedule. Process emergency requests for urgent delivery. Investigate and resolve potential order cuts. Maintain warehouse inventory levels and manage floor balance.
  2. Compliance – Ensure compliance with all regulations, including food safety, allergen control, pest control, and sanitation standards. Follow all standard work processes and procedures.
  3. Risk Management – Understand processes and interdependencies. Recognize and escalate issues that pose risks or opportunities to improve plant performance.
We’re Looking for Someone With
  • High School Diploma/GED with relevant experience
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar systems, inventory location systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels and manage complex situations
  • Ability to function in a union environment and promote positive employee relations
Compensation

The annual salary range is $72,900 - $95,655, based on factors such as location, experience, and skills. Discretionary bonuses are also available based on performance.
