  • Lead and resolve employee relations matters by conducting investigations and supporting corrective action processes.
  • Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA and workers' compensation, ensuring compliance.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation in line with policies and legal requirements.
  • Prepare HR reports and staffing metrics to support leadership decisions.

Job Summary:

Provides day-to-day support to the Management Team and performs various HR administrative duties. Duties may include the following: employee relations, training, performance management, attendance tracking, staffing, payroll and benefit enrollments. Responsible for various administrative and customer service duties. Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Human Resources partner to employees, supervisors, and plant leadership by providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, employee relations, and workforce matters.
  • Partner with the plant leadership team and Corporate Human Resources to align HR initiatives with operational and business objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, orientation, employee transfers, and offboarding activities.
  • Lead and resolve employee relations matters by conducting investigations, addressing workplace concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, and supporting corrective action processes.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture that fosters employee engagement, retention, and compliance with company values.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, workers' compensation, and other leaves of absence, while ensuring timely communication, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims, injury management, return-to-work programs, and follow-up activities with employees, supervisors, and third-party providers.
  • Review and approve employee timecards to ensure accuracy, completeness, policy compliance, and payroll readiness.
  • Administer and support employee benefit programs, including 401(k) enrollment, eligibility tracking, and employee inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Lead and support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives.
  • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping requirements, including tracking workplace incidents and managing OSHA 300 logs.
  • Facilitate employee engagement activities, annual employee surveys, action planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the employee experience.
  • Support organizational development efforts, including workforce planning, succession planning, talent development, and change management initiatives.
  • Prepare HR reports, presentations, staffing metrics, and other confidential documentation to support business and leadership decision-making.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and human resources best practices.
  • Ability to effectively manage employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits, leave administration, and payroll support processes.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and employment regulations consistently and fairly.
  • Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), applicant tracking systems, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with plant leadership, employees, and corporate teams.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a commitment to supporting employees and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • A focus on continuous improvement and being committed to learning new HR practices
  • English language proficiency to include verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience required.
  • Experience with ADP products or similar payroll processing software.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
