Job summary

Snack Innovations, a fast-growing CPG company in New Jersey, is seeking a Plant Human Resources Manager to lead HR across the manufacturing facility. You will partner with plant leadership to foster a positive culture, manage employee relations, and drive talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, and development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will balance strategic planning with hands-on presence on the production floor, build strong relationships at all levels, and help leaders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong employee relations experience with the ability to effectively coach leaders through challenging situations.
• Knowledge of federal and New Jersey employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience recruiting both hourly manufacturing employees and salaried professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to build credibility and strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) required.
• Prior payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR resource for plant employees and leadership.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Investigate employee concerns and workplace issues, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely resolution.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.
• Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and support recruiting efforts for the manufacturing plant, including sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process.
• Coordinate interviews, hiring decisions, and employment offers.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
• Coach leaders on performance expectations, feedback, and accountability.
• Support performance review processes and employee development planning.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify training needs and support leadership and employee development initiatives.
• Promote internal growth and succession planning efforts.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including New Jersey employment regulations.
• Maintain HR policies and procedures while ensuring consistent application.
• Partner with Safety and Operations on workers' compensation, leave administration, and return-to-work programs.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Act as a strategic partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team.
• Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to support business decisions.
• Participate in organizational planning, change management, and workforce planning initiatives.
• Help drive continuous improvement through people-focused solutions.

Role Overview

The Plant Human Resources Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership for all Human Resources functions within the manufacturing facility. Core Responsibilities
