Job summary

The HR Manager at Mactac Scranton is a key member of the plant leadership team, guiding day-to-day HR operations and driving change in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will lead training initiatives, partner with corporate HR, ensure data integrity in UKG/HRIS, and advise leaders on employee relations and performance.

This role requires a bachelor's in HR or a related field and at least seven years of HR experience in manufacturing, with strong communication and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business, communications or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years prior human resources experience, including prior HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior HR management/leadership experience is required.
• Experience utilizing UKG/HRIS preferred.
• PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
• Experience utilizing HRIS/HCM systems is required; UKG preferred.
• Broad knowledge in compensation, employment law, performance management, organizational planning, diversity, organizational development, recruiting, employee relations, safety, and training development.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Identify and defuse risk in people management issues; conduct investigations.
• Comply with and lead Health, Safety & Environmental programs.
• Promote and support health and wellness initiatives.
• Collaborate with centralized HR teams to create innovative HR programs.
• Ensure data entry accuracy and understand UKG/HRIS processes.
• Foster learning environments for skill training and development.
• Guide leaders on employee matters including coaching, PIPs, IDPs, and succession planning.
• Lead workforce planning and organizational redesign where needed.
• Partner with plant leadership to align HR programs with business needs.
• Project manage HR initiatives and lead cross-functional company projects.
• Serve as liaison between employees, management and headquarters.
• Interpret and communicate policies; ensure compliance with ADA, FLSA, FMLA, EEO/AAP.
• Coach managers on policies, disciplinary actions and performance improvement.
• Oversee personnel records management.
• Promote a high performing, engaged workforce.
• Coordinate employee events.
• Manage the plant HR department budget.
