Job Title: Plant Health Care Specialist Trainee

We are seeking ambitious, self-starting entry-level Plant Health Care Specialists passionate about preserving and caring for trees. Your focus will be monitoring, evaluating, and providing plant health care for trees and shrubs on commercial and residential properties.

Training and Responsibilities:

We provide hands-on training from Bartlett's team of arborists. As a trainee, you will learn to:

• Perform all functions of integrated pest management, including:
• Tree and shrub care treatments using spray, injection, and soil injection tools as prescribed
• Communicate with clients about work performed
• Mix and apply pesticides and fertilizers safely and according to laws and labels
• Maintain and operate equipment and vehicles
• Complete accurate records and reports daily
• Safely drive a company vehicle to multiple sites
• Work as part of a tree care crew under supervision during the off-season

Qualifications include:

• A passion for nature and the outdoors
• Interest in working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (we cover exam costs)
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, Environmental Science, or related field, or prior industry experience (preferred but not required)
